OUR PROGRAM

The Boston Center for Refugee Health and Human Rights (BCRHHR) reaches out to survivors of persecution and human rights violations who are entering a new life in the United States from all over the world through the gateway of Boston. Our doors are open to refugees who have fled war and complex humanitarian crises, and to torture survivors who have been persecuted for their political beliefs, ethnicity, race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. Some are asylum applicants seeking protection in the United States. Many were leaders in their countries of origin, forced to flee as it was no longer safe to remain at home. When people arrive, it is not unusual for them to have few or no resources. These are our patients.
